Jamaican Peppered Shrimp

This Jamaican-inspired peppered shrimp recipe brings together the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean with succulent shrimp seasoned with garlic, scotch bonnet peppers, and a blend of aromatic spices. Its a quick and flavorful dish thats perfect for any seafood lover.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 scotch bonnet peppers, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp thyme leaves
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Juice of 1 lime

Instructions:

Put paprika, onion, scotch bonnet peppers, black pepper, salt, and black pepper in a bowl

Add the olive oil and peppers

Put the shrimp in the bowl and toss them around so that all of them are covered in the spice mix

Put the shrimp in the marinade for at least 30 minutes

Set the pan on medium-high heat

Put the shrimp in the pan after marinating them

Cook for two to three minutes on each side, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque

Put lime juice on top of the cooked shrimp and chopped parsley on top of that

Enjoy while hot
