Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Yellow food coloring
Instructions:
Heat the vegetable oil in a big pot over medium heat
When adding the popcorn kernels to the pot, make sure there is a tiny opening on the lid to allow steam to escape
Cook until the popping stops, stirring from time to time to keep the pot from burning
After taking the pot off the stove, give it a minute to make sure all of the kernels have popped
Pop the popcorn and transfer it to a big bowl
Melt butter and a few drops of yellow food coloring in a small bowl, stirring to achieve the desired color
Pour the colored butter onto the popcorn and gently toss to ensure that it is evenly coated
After adding salt, toss the popcorn one more
Serve right away in a popcorn bucket and settle in for a film
