Sea Salt Chickpea Crackers

Sea salt makes these gluten-free and vegan chickpea crackers a very tasty and salty snack.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chickpea flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt, plus extra for sprinkling

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C

In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, water, olive oil, and 1 teaspoon of sea salt

Mix until a dough forms

Divide the dough into two equal parts

Roll out each portion of dough between two sheets of parchment paper until very thin, about 1/8 inch thick

Remove the top parchment paper and transfer the rolled-out dough with the bottom parchment paper onto a baking sheet

Using a pizza cutter or knife, cut the dough into small squares or rectangles

Prick each square with a fork to prevent puffing

Sprinkle the crackers with a little extra sea salt

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the crackers are crispy

Remove from the oven and let cool completely on the baking sheet

Once cooled, break the crackers apart along the cut lines

Store in an airtight container for up to a week
