Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken And Veggies

The slow cooker makes it easy to make tender chicken breasts cooked in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce with tasty vegetables. This dish is great for a healthy and tasty family meal.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup baby carrots
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions:

Put chicken breasts in the crock pot

Add garlic, basil, thyme, salt, and pepper to a small bowl and mix them together

In another bowl, add honey

Put the mix on top of the chicken breasts

Baby carrots and broccoli florets should be put in the slow cooker

Set the timer for 34 hours on high or 6-7 hours on low

Cover and cook until the chicken is done and the vegetables are soft

To make a slurry, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl

During the last 30 minutes of cooking, stir the slurry into the slow cooker to make the sauce thicker

Put the chicken and vegetables on a plate and drizzle sauce over them
