Ingredients:
- 4 cups fresh wild blueberries
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 packet fruit pectin
Instructions:
Thoroughly wash and drain the wild blueberries
Lemon juice and blueberries should be combined in a big pot
Mash the berries as they soften while cooking over medium heat
Bring the mixture to a boil after adding the fruit pectin and stirring
After adding the granulated sugar, boil the jam for ten to fifteen minutes, stirring continuously, or until it thickens and reaches the right consistency
After taking the pot off of the burner, allow it to cool slightly
After sterilizing the jars, fill them with the hot jam, leaving a 1/4-inch headspace
To guarantee appropriate preservation, put lids on the jars and process them in a boiling water bath for ten minutes
Before storing the jars in a cool, dark location, let them cool completely
Savor your homemade wild blueberry jam as a topping for desserts or on toast or pancakes
